FEE OPTIONS
We charge for the time spent working on a matter in accordance with our hourly rate. Each hour of time spent working on a matter is divided into twelve units of five minutes. Time spent working on a matter will include, but is not limited to the following:
We offer alternative billing arrangements such as agreeing on a fixed fee upfront, that will give you peace of mind by assuring that you won’t be met with unexpected legal fees.
How does our retainer fee structure add value to you? A retainer agreement is an alternative fee agreement entered into with an attorney, in terms of which predefined legal services will be rendered over a specified period at an agreed rate.
By entering into a retainer-based arrangement, you pay X amount every month, and we will make ourselves available to you for a certain number of hours during that month. Unused retainer hours will roll over into the next month for the duration of the agreement. In terms of this arrangement, services are predefined between you and our firm and are detailed in a retainer agreement. Generally, retainers exist for a specified length of time, 6 months or 1 year.
